I try to take care of my sunglasses, really I do. My current glacier glasses served me so well in the harsh Himalayan sun this summer, and I've continued to wear them since coming back. They have a leash, and even wrap around the ears; I dropped & cracked my last pair, but not this time!
So today I was shopping for plants (again), with the sunglasses up on top of my head. And i'm all focus: eyes sweeping along aisle after aisle of plants. So focused on what's at my feet that I don't notice the hanging fern pot at head level. I walk right into it, and put some nasty scratches into the left lens. D'oh!
But I did walk out with two new family members: A sago palm and a dwarf papyrus. Both are exquisite.
