At the Berkeley Bowl this morning, there were at least 110 people lined up outside the store when it opened at 10am.
It is an outstanding grocery store, but it's always so damned crowded! It's a Berkeley crowd, so there's lots of smiling and conviviality as folks do their intricate shopping cart maneuvering. But still, I'd much prefer the efficiency and peace of unobstructed aisles in which to carefully select my granola and greens.
I was hoping that Sunday morning would be less crowded. I guess I was wrong.
