It's Friday. Today I will work until 6pm. And then!
I'll feed the bird*, go home, light candles, make a big salad & eat leftover Zachary's with Jiwon. We will listen to the legendary 2-20-93, it being 2-20 and all. I will then lasso my sweetie and (hopefully) take her to San Francisco.
New Monsoon is playing tonight at a new club in the Mission called 12 Galaxies. In fact, tonight's the grand opening. I'm hoping to see a lot of familiar faces there, and I just know it'll be a blast.
* We're bird-sitting for a few days. In order to not disturb the bird, the bird stays at his North Berkeley home, and I go over to feed him. He's a beautiful little parakeet, and I'd forgotton how nice it is to let a bird hop around on you.
I wonder if your last entry on exposure-based therapy (and the frog example) might have any relevance to the note about letting a bird hop around one's shoulder in this entry... What's the therapy for someone who doesn't want a bird fluttering around one's head?
It'd be a virtual reality bird, first in the cage, then free but off in the distance, then fluttering (virtually) around one's head.
But who'd be afraid of a cute little parakeet? ;-)
