At the end of May, Jiwon's giving a paper at a conference in Italy. And not just anywhere in Italy, but at Lake Como, in the foothills of the Alps north of Milan. And not just at Lake Como, but at the grand Villa Serbelloni in Bellagio. So of course I was thinking of tagging along . . . but have decided against it. I have a lot of travel coming up, it's not a cheap flight, and she'll be completely occupied while there, up until the time she has to fly back for another conference.
So, I'll be on my own in Berkeley May 24-30, and she'll be here, discussing diglossia. And eating well.
