OK, so, a librarian, a law professor, two literature professors, a cryptographer and four year old are on a boat....
OK, we weren't on a boat. And this is not a joke. We were in a house, having dinner last night. But really, what do you imagine we talked about? And what if we didn't have enough life rafts?
The four year old spent much of the time playing under the table, so he was only partially present...though after dessert we did end up taking his hermit crabs out for a bath and exercise.
Matt the cryptographer's work is most foreign to me, so I had to ask what it looks like when he's doing his work. And guess what? Though his work is highly computer-intensive, he does most of his serious and original work using good old pencil and paper. And some of his colleagues use blackboards.
